A letter from Karen
The past five years since buying the Old Hunter House time has flown by. We spent the first eight months restoring the old girl to give her life, myself a job and you an amazing place to spend vacations on Tybee Island. I am so thankful to each and everyone of you for your support and kindness. We have enjoyed serving you and loving this old home.
This year we took down the ceilings in Waterscape and the wall between Waterscape and Garden Suite and we added a cement sound barrier as well as even more insulation. Our hope was to reduce any sound from foot traffic from the breakfast area above. I am thankful to say it worked!! So if you love Waterscape and Mary’s Suite, you are going to love it even more. Beachview is more than a bed and breakfast, with our private entrances and sitting porches we are more of an Inn with breakfast!
In the past 12 months we finished the pavilion and driveway at Beachview and we are now open for weddings and elopements, we can even serve as your back up plan if you are planning to get married on the beaches of Tybee Island. We also are set and ready for bridal luncheons, birthday parties and rehearsal dinners, as well as, office parties and business retreats. Let us know how we can help as you plan your next party!!
Wendy Hicks, my adorable daughter, is coming to work with us at Beachview. She will help plan our weddings and orchestrate then to perfection. She will also be working toward building banquet business where we can host companies while they are meeting with staff and planning their next year or celebrating the past year. Another awesome thing Wendy will be doing is taking over the job I dread the most…paperwork & bookkeeping. So next time you come to Tybee stop in to stay with us or just to meet Wendy!
Hope you decide to spend a few days or even a week or two with us here at Beachview. Until then we will keep the coffee hot and fresh and the wine cold. Hope to see you soon!!
